Grilling lobster tails on your backyard grill is really a treat for everyone and just about nothing tastes better grilled than lobster. And here is the best part you will hear about this: from start to finish, it is probably less than 30 minutes. Ha, talk about a short stint over the grill.

There are just a couple of things you need to know about this. First you are going to need to get together a few ingredients.

  • butter
  • garlic
  • salt
  • pepper
  • skewers

Not bad, huh? If your store does not have any fresh ones, then the frozen ones will do. For thawing them out you might try putting what you need into a zip-loc bag and then putting the bag into water. It should not take too long that way.

Here is where it gets interesting. While you are waiting you might fire up your grill to hot and then melt some butter and add some finely minced garlic into it. Then add about a TB of lemon juice. lobster.1A The Best Secret To Grilling Lobster Tails

Take your thawed lobster tails and slice them in half the long way, or lengthwise. You might have to use your kitchen shears, for I doubt you would have a huge lobster knife like we used to use at work. Now you need to baste your lobster tails with some of that butter with the garlic and lemon.

Here is one great tip:  You can take a skewer which has been soaked water and thread it thru the half. This way the lobster tail will not curl.

Here are some of the necessary steps you might want to do:

  • cut them into half the long way

  • baste them with your lemon butter mixture

  • go ahead and put them on the hot part of the grill and you would need to place them with the shell side down.

Told you it was easy. But here are a few more things you need to consider. As they grill up be careful about the tails being over the hottest part (direct heat) as they will tend to cook faster and dry out. That would be a bummer.lobster.1B The Best Secret To Grilling Lobster Tails

When you are grilling lobster tails you can tell when they are done by looking at them.
