What To Consider When Choosing BBQ Steak

When choosing the perfect cut of meat to grill out at a barbeque, choosing the right cut, with the perfect amount of fat, and the right size, are all factors to consider when choosing a barbeque steak. No matter how lean of a cut you are looking for, or how much marbelized fat you want around the trim of the steak, there are various cuts that one can choose from when they are selecting the very best meat to barbeque, and when they want to get the perfect taste for their barbeque steak.   When selecting the meat, there should be a certain level of fat, rather than choosing the trimmest cut. When grilling the steak, it should have fat around the edges, in order to get an even cook, and in order to allow the juices to simmer, rather than having an extremely dry and rubbery piece of extremely lean barbeque steak. Therefore, when selecting the cut of meat to use for the perfect taste, those who are looking for something juicy, have to choose a cut which does have fat around the edges, and which allows the meat to stay tender, rather than get too rubbery or tough because their is no fat on the cut.   Considering marinades is also something that should be done when choosing the best barbeque steak to cook on the grill. Knowing what cuts, and which meats go best with a marinade or with a dry rub, are also factors to consider when you are grilling a steak. If you want to add something as basic as salt and pepper dry rub, or if you are going to allow the meat so sit in a marinade for several hours, choosing the barbeque steak that will absorb those juices or the dry rub, is something that should be considered when deciding on the right cut to use for the barbeque grill.   The temperature that you want to cook the steak at also has to be considered when choosing the cut of meat. If you want an even cook, and if you want to get the perfect internal temperature (whether you like rare, medium rare, or something more well done), the barbeque steak that is chosen has to be even thickness all the way through the cut. Therefore, choosing a cut of meat that is similar in thickness all the way around, and is going to cook evenly through the entire grilling process, is also something that has to be considered when choosing the cut of meat to use on the grill.   Considering all of these factors when choosing the meat will allow the individual who is grilling the steak to get a perfectly even cook, the perfect internal temperature, and allow the marinade or dry rub to evenly distribute throughout the entire steak. So, choosing the right cut of meat is essential for those who are going to barbeque steak on the grill, and want to have the perfect taste when the cooking process is complete.
